Kill 'em with kindness

Well I don't have a picture to go with this, but it's still a cute story...I take Maria to a weekly play group. Maria wanted to play with a little boy who was playing with these little cars on a track, but he wanted nothing to do with her. As soon as she started to play with one of the cars, he pushed her. Maria's tough, thought nothing of it and then went over to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek and walked away. The little boy lit up with a huge smile and ran after her chasing her....at which time Maria no longer wanted anything to do with him! :)

Mother's Day

Our newest addition

We are pleased to welcome Oreo, our new kitty to our family. I am also pleased to say that our search for a kitty is FINALLY over after several visits to the pound and unsuccessful attempts to adopt the kitty's we wanted. Yesterday my coworker told me that her neighbor needed to give Oreo away. We headed over there today where we met Oreo who was just as sweet as can be and apparently quite popular on her old block - several neighbors said bye to Oreo as we left with her! Her are some pics of her in our garage when we got home with Maria.

The previous owner gave us her old bowl and litter box, so hopefully it feels a little bit like home!

Duckies

The day before Mother's Day we headed to the park to feed the ducks. Here are some shots followed by a video. The video is pretty funny, because as soon as the duckies saw Greg and Maria approaching they swarmed them! We'll have to post pics of Mother's Day later since we didn't take any shots with our camera.Petting the ducky, before it flies away!
